Yes. We pull registration records (license number, business name, expiration date, trade codes, contact info) directly from the State of Iowa's contractor registration data. If a contractor isn't registered with the state, their profile shows a clear "NOT REGISTERED" badge so you can make an informed decision.
We layer on our own verification for insurance: contractors self-upload their COI details and sign a Release of Information (ROI) we can use to verify with their agent. Only contractors who complete that step get the "Verified Insurance" badge.
Yes. Our e-signature flow complies with the federal E-SIGN Act (2000) and the Uniform Electronic Transactions Act (UETA). Every signed proposal includes a locked certificate page showing the signer's name, timestamp, IP address, and a cryptographic hash of the document.
This is the same standard used by DocuSign, Adobe Sign, and HelloSign. If you ever need to produce a signed contract in court or collections, it'll hold up.
You connect your own Stripe account. When you generate a payment link on an invoice, the money flows directly from your customer's card into your Stripe account — we never touch it. We don't charge transaction fees on top of what Stripe charges. (Stripe's standard fee is 2.9% + 30¢.)
We're also building support for ACH, Square, and other processors — those will be included free for founding members when they ship.
"Open beta" means the platform is live and in daily use — the core tools (database, projects, estimates, invoices, messaging) work today. We're calling it beta because we're still shipping new features fast and want founding members to help shape what comes next.

Yes. The entire platform is mobile-responsive. You can send a proposal, sign a customer's phone, take a Stripe payment, and log a receipt — all from the jobsite. We test mobile first.
Customer payment data is handled by Stripe, a PCI-DSS Level 1 certified processor — we never store card numbers on our servers. Your Stripe API keys are stored server-side with bank-grade encryption and never sent to your browser.
The platform uses Firebase Authentication for login (the same auth infrastructure Google uses internally), multi-factor authentication for admins, and a strict Content Security Policy to prevent tampering.
The contractor database is Iowa-specific — that's our differentiator. If you're outside Iowa, the business tools (projects, estimates, invoices, messaging) still work, but you won't get the verified Iowa contractor search. If we expand to your state, you'd be first in line.
